About the USS Midway in San Diego
In this episode host Ivan Trujillo explores the USS Midway Museum in the San Diego Bay! This historic decommissioned Navy aircraft carrier is now a family friendly museum located at Navy Pier. This ship houses an extensive collection of aircraft, many of which were built in Southern California. The USS Midway was the United States' longest-serving aircraft carrier from 1945 to 1992. Approximately 200,000 sailors served aboard the carrier, known for several naval aviation breakthroughs as well as several humanitarian missions.
