Home styles in Olde Carlsbad are mostly ranch-style homes, although in the northwest section of the neighborhood you will find a section of new contemporary homes with large lots. Near neighborhood shopping and dining, you’ll find apartments and condos along El Camino Real.
There are several parks in Olde Carlsbad, but it is best known for Hosp Grove park, a 5.5- acre park with a large grove of eucalyptus trees and an array of walking trails. The park also has a children’s area and is great for a picnic or to capture some beautiful Pacific Ocean sunsets.
Located off El Camino Real and the 78 is The Shoppes at Carlsbad. This large mall has it all with restaurants, shops, and major retailers. Watch a movie at Regal Theatre or grab lunch at Yard House. Spend the day shopping at JC Penny, Macy’s, Sephora, or getting a workout in at 24 Hour Fitness.
